Basketball has impacted all of our lives. Connection is ingrained in hardwood. Therapy is a perfect pass slipping by defenders. Prayer is putting up a floater and calling game. Generosity is telling your teammate to keep shooting after a miss. Gratitude is a post game dap.
Every Run Has a Story is a series of posts highlighting these experiences, on and off the court, in and around the Andiem community.

Initially you’re definitely judged. Definitely. But if you can play, that all goes out the window. I mean, I’m the Asian guy wearing goggles. I know what some people think when they see me on the court. If a new guy shows up, he’ll probably try to go at me.
But people who know me, they know what I bring to the game.
We’ve grown together, game by game, play by play, and now it’s almost like we’re this one single organism. You can’t replicate that, there’s no match for 20 years of reps.
